PRODUCT RESEARCH DOCUMENTATION
EXISTING PRODUCTS- when McDonalds designs their toys, they first decide the company that they want the toy from and then once they figure out the toy that they want, they make contracts and sign wavers that way they can take the character and make it into a toy legally. After that they usually hire engineers and designers to make the best designs for the toys that they have chosen, while still following the safety regulations and limitations.
LOGO USAGE- In order to use logos, there are standards and rules you must follow. First of all, you must have the correct size and location for the logo. If it is to small, it cannot be seen, and if it is not in the right location it wont be seen well. If these standards are not followed, then the rights of using a logo could be revoked. You also cannot copy or steal another persons logo.
SAFETY REGULATIONS- McDonalds safety regulations-
- NO SHARP OR POINTY EDGES
- NO TOXIC MATERIALS
- NO SMALL PARTS ( CHOKING HAZARD )
- MUST HAVE AGE LABELS
- NO LEAD PAIN
- MUST HAVE WARNINGS

DEVELOP A SOLUTION
CONSTRUCT AND TEST A PROTOTYPE
The 2 people that I asked to look at the minion were my mom and my brother. My mom really liked the idea of the fart gun and said that little kids would love to get that from a happy meal. She also liked that it had glasses and that it had blue jeans. My brother also loved the minion, he thought that the fart gun was hilarious and that kids will love it, he also liked the look of the minion, because it looks exactly like the ones from despicable me.
EVALUATE SOLUTION
If I could change anything about my project, I would change the look of the eyes, e the glasses looked to big and you could barely see the minions eyes. I would also change the size of the fart gun. The fart gun was a bit to small. I would also make the minion hold the fart gun in both hands so that it looked more realistic. All in all this was a great project. It tested our inventor skills and our imagination, given that we were not given any instructions or directions on how to make all of our parts. And i think that me and Brandon worked very well on the project, we communicated well and split the tasks of the project evenly. The only problem is that we didn't get much done in class so we had to do a majority of the project at home.
